On Staurday, April 29, 2006, the Dadeville police Dept. along with the Alabama Dept. Of Game and Fish held our 2nd annual Kid's Outdoors at the Dare Power Park.  We were assisted by the Tallapoosa County Sheriff Dept. and the Camp Hill Police Dept.  We had an attendance of 70 kids and about 50 adults.  Those that attended had a great time.  Kids were able to fish, shoot air rifles, display their archery abilities, shoot 22cal rifles and shoot skeet.  Everyone talked about the amount of fun they were having.  We served free hotdogs and drinks.  There were numerous door prizes given away during the day which included, air rifles, fishing rods, tackle and t-shirts.  Prizes were given to the kids that caught the most fish, biggest fish and the smallest fish.  This was a great event and for those that did not attend, I can only say you missed a lot of fun.  Until next year, take a kid into the great outdoors.  It is a experience they will always remember.
